EVERYTHING IS BROKEN - released Jan. 2014
It was an honor to have my short story "A Hole in the Night" chosen by author John Dufresne for Midtown Publishing's inaugural anthology publication. I was especially pleased to have it included with such wonderful writers and stories.

Inspired by my years on the fire department, "A Hole in the NIght" is centered around a group of firefighters who honor a dead colleague, a suicide, and face the extermination of their own dreams.

Anterior Review Vol. 1 Num. 1 - released Jan. 2014
I was thrilled to have the first part of my long short story "An Inconsequential Matter" appear in the premiere issue of this beautiful magazine. Editor Rosemi Mederos did an amazing job with the layout. I'm psyched that part two of my story is appearing in the next issue.

I was elated to have "Joy Ride" my three-tale story that intersects with life altering results on each of the main characters, appear in this beautifully produced Spring Issue.

The Chaffey Review Volume VI  Summer 2011, released June 26, 2011

Picture
I was told by the editor that my story about deception, "Mr. Mechanic" was the first piece they accepted for the issue. This was one of my earliest stories. It was inspired by an incident that occurred to my mother.

The MacGuffin Magazine vol. XXVII no. 3 released May 20, 2011

Picture
One of my favorite stories "The One Cupper" about a detective who gets more than he bargained for when he interrogates a waitress in "the last Anglo diner in Hialeah" appears in the Spring-Summer edition. I was happy it found a home in such a quality publication. They've been around since 1984.

Pushing Out the Boat # 10 released May 14, 2011

I was delighted to have had my short story "The Lord Was My Shepherd" appear in the tenth anniversary edition of this Scottish publication. The stories, poems, and  images were exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the works written in Doric. The dialect is beautiful and so rhythmic.

The Toucan Magazine # 10 released Feb. 15, 2011

Picture
This is a Chicago based magazine. This issue was a tribute to Canada, so I felt honored they included my humorous/sad sorta sci-fi flash fiction piece "Fight the Future or Why My Wife Left Me" in it because, though I'm not Canadian, my piece has to do with a man obsessed with The X-Files, which was filmed in Vancouver for the first five or six seasons. Plus I like the editrices, Liz and Laura. They're what indie publication is all about.

Bete Noire # 2 released January 28, 2011

Picture
"Morrison's Last Autograph" a dark revenge story I wrote appears in this issue. I had a gruesome good time with it because it incorporates another love of my life: music.

Ethereal Tales # 9 released Oct. 30, 2010

Picture
My Halloween horror story "Of Toil and Trouble" was printed in the UK magazine Ethereal Tales. It was fun knowing that my story appeared in another country.

New Plains Review - fall 09 issue

Picture
Back cover
"The Guiding Light" was my first fiction short story to appear in print. It's also one of my favorites. I was especially happy when they put a blurb of it on the back cover, which I've included.

Merge: A Journal of Convergent Ideas - summer 09 issue

Picture
Merge contains my ekphrastic poem "The Proposal." It was my first poem to appear in print. An ekphrastic poem is one based on a piece of art. In my case the inspiration came from a painting of the same title by Gia Revazi. I was particularly happy to be in this issue because it featured a poem by my friend and very talented writer, Corey Ginsberg called "Pluto, On Being Demoted to a Dwarf Planet."

Coral Living Magazine - April/May 2008 issue

Picture
"A Bazaar Afternoon" appeared in the April/May 2008 issue of Coral Living . It is my non-fiction recount of a strange day I spent at the Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop.  It's always a great feeling to have work published, but this was especially thrilling because it was the first time my writing appeared in print. I was scheduled to have another piece about Hialeah's legendary TK recording studio in an upcoming issue. Unfortunately, the magazine ceased publication before it appeared.
